• 9/18/2002 - Gyach v0.8.4 released. 0.8.4 incorporates the following features/changes: added search screen and CTRL-F (find), CTRL-G (find next) key shortcuts from the chat entry box; added ~/.gyach/history file to store user's command history; url highlighting with cursor changes when mouse cursor is over a http:// or ftp:// url; to display a url in your browser, you can now single-click the url instead of double-clicking; enhanced Gyach icon (thanks ermalaiz); added colored url highlighting for ftp:// style urls; added CTRL-C key shortcut to chat entry box to capture currently selected chat text to clipboard; fixed bug in room list which caused Gyach to not display rooms if they have sibling categories and not just sibling rooms; fixed bug in auto-ignore on multiple posts code; changed tab completion code to preserve state of usernames currently in room; fixed url recognition code so things like www.yahoo.com are now clickable; fixed auto-ignore code so auto-ignored PMs will not pop up a window but will print to the chat text area if you have "Display messages before auto-ignoring" turned on, tab-completion bug fixed (occurred on some gcc 3.x compilers).
• 9/11/2002 - Gyach v0.8.3 released. This version fixes quite a few more bugs as well as adding new features such as: case-insensitive sorted user list; verbose auto-ignore that tells you why a user was ignored so you can fine-tune those regex settings; added friend/buddy names to list of names that can be tab-completed; status bar shows count of users in room beside room name; limit PMs to friends, users in room, both, or all users; title of PM windows changed to display * at beginning if a new message has been received and [TYPING] if the other user is typing a new message; auto-ignore and auto-mute on multi-posts are now settable limits; and a few other small enhancements.
• 9/7/2002 - Gyach v0.8.2 released. This version fixes quite a few bugs. It also includes a rewrite of the username tab-completion code to work better plus keeps track of the last 10 users to leave the room so their usernames can be tab-completed as well as currently logged in usernames. The setup screen now has a custom color selection dialog for people who don't like the standard text colors. v0.8.2 should compile out of the box on Solaris and cygwin/win32 now. It has been run on Solaris 8 on x86, Solaris 9 on Sparc, and cygwin under Win2k using both X display mode and native windows display mode (no X server required). Instructions are in the appropriate README.* files.
• 9/1/2002 - Gyach v0.8.1 released. This fixes a few bugs along with a big one causing connection problems for some users.
• 8/31/2002 - Gyach v0.8.0 released. This is the firat non-beta release of Gyach to use Yahoo's newer YMSG protocol instead of the older YCHT protocol which has had several features "disabled" over the past year or so. Currently /invite and /roll are still broke until I figure out their packet formats.
